I'm feeling baby move sooo much more now. I love love love it. People at work keep saying just wait until the baby gets bigger because the kicks will hurt and you will get tired of them. I just don't believe that. I don't think I could EVER get tired of feeling our little boy!
I catch myself day dreaming a lot lately. I wonder what baby will look like, I wonder if he will love us as much as we love him, I think about how our lives are going to change. These thoughts consume my mind!
I'm feeling really great. I don't feel as tired anymore. I want to eat .... ALL THE TIME! I can see why people say the 2nd trimester is the best. I feel like I'm eating a lot more but luckily my weight gain to date is 6 lbs!
We had an awesome time in Hawaii. We went whale watching, snorkeling, walked on the beach a lot, rented a car and drove around the island, laid around on the beach and in the hotel room, had some wonderful meals and mostly enjoyed the time together, just the two of us.
Speaking of wonderful meals... Does anyone watch Dog the Bounty Hunter? Some how one night we went to dinner at Benihani (which is a Japanese steak house where they cook in front of you) and because it was just the two of us, we got paired with 5 other people to make a full table of seven. The 5 ppl we got paired with were three of Dog the bounty hunter's kids and a couple that were "babysitting" them. Haha. I have only seen the show a handful of times, but thought, what a small world...and what a very interesting dinner!
Here's another question. Now that we know baby monkey is a boy... we want to start our regestiry. When is a good time to start doing that? Is 20 weeks too early? I feel like it might take a while though because everytime I enter a babysrus I'm sooo overwhelmed.
I will leave you with pictures! My ever so growing belly and our 19 week ultrasound of our son
.
Congratulations on the half way point and I'm loving that beautiful belly! Not sure about registering... Hope others chime in and provide some good advice. I would think now that you're feeling so much better it might be a good time to start tackling it???
ReplyDeleteYou can start your registry whenever you want. It doesn't really matter if you feel like its a little early to be doing it because your information will stay stored in their system until a few weeks after your due date (they ask you that). That way, whenever people feel like going to pick up a gift for you, your info is there for them. Plus, you might change your mind about something you thought you wanted and need to delete an item. Also, scan EVERYTHING :) Even if its expensive. You never know what someone might buy you! And have fun with it! Don't let it be a stressful experience.
ReplyDeleteSounds like an awesome trip! You will be so glad you took a trip together before baby. I wish we could fit one in but I don't see it happening. How funny you sat with Dog's kids, haha. That's a strange family for sure!
ReplyDeleteAs far as registry, we did ours the day after our gender scan. Here's mine if you want to get an idea.

Keep in mind we are exlusively breastfeeding so no bottles, bottle brush, ect are on there. We are also going to cloth diaper so we don't have diapers and wipes on there and we have stuff like wet bags, cloth wipes, and cloth diaper friendly rash cream. But the Gerber cloth diapers are great for burp cloths. The best bibs are the ones with plastic between the cloth. Keeps from getting the clothes wet. Um...what else...oh you don't need a wipes warmer or a bottle sanitizer...those are a waste. We also already had some baby stuff from my in home daycare days so I didn't register for a highchair, boppy pillow, jumperoo, bumbo/bebe pod, or bouncy seat. Those are things you will want for sure. You can never have too many places to set the baby so you can get stuff done. Good luck, registering is a lot of fun!!
We've been working on our registries (we're on amazon, babiesrus, and buybuybaby) for like a month now. We keep thinking it's ready and then change our minds.
ReplyDeleteAnd I feel the same way you do about the kicks!
AWESOME! We love the pic of your little monkey! We are starting our first round IVF in about 16 days - very exciting times! We already have a list of registry stuff we want - We will probably start at week 12 or so - it is never too early! I know 2 couples that have delivered before their baby showers and before they had their nursery and crib put together and ready. We are so ready to start decorating but don't want to start until we are officially pregnant ;) lol. p.s. love the belly pic in Hawaii!
